Here are the answers if you want to double-check you got them right:
1. If you measure the voltage over each of the two components – what’s the sum of the two voltages?
The sum of the voltages over the components in a series circuit always equals the applied battery voltage. That means the sum is 9 volts.
2. If you’re told you have 15 mA of current through the resistor – how much current flows through the LED?
The current in a series circuit is equal everywhere in the circuit, since the current has nowhere else to flow. That means the current through the LED is also 15 mA.
