You can build complicated circuits

February 12, 2019 By Øyvind Nydal Dahl Leave a Comment

I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago.

There I built an electronic nose with Jose Ramos.

The video I made is a bit short and doesn’t go into the details.

But you’ll see how we solder a circuit that might look a bit advanced.

And there is no magic happening.

Anyone can do this.

We used a soldering oven to simplify the soldering.

Most DIY’ers don’t have such an oven.

But instead, you can use a toaster oven, a skillet, or a hot air gun.

The boards were designed by Michael Madsen.

He did, of course, spend some time coming up with the circuit board design.

But I know a lot of beginners don’t even dare to try, just because soldering small components seems impossible.

If you think it looks hard – let me know what it is you find hard in the comment section of the video.

Here’s the video:

If you want to learn to build electronics, I invite you to join us at my electronics-builder club Ohmify.
